Automatic Updates
|
| |
NetDocuments releases about six updates a year with the objective of delivering customer-driven features
as quickly as possible allowing users to immediately benefit without waiting months to years as commonly
known with traditional document management and packaged software. The SaaS, on-demand way removes
the hassle of long wait times, loads of software to install, and spikes in costs associated with the old way.
Check out
IDC's illustration stating that TCO goes down with SaaS applications compared
to traditional client-server, in-house applications where maintenance and upgrades increases costs over time.
NetDocuments users get to view the new features before they are released and can address any enduser training
needs, and they don't have to work overtime to get the updates installed. It's automatic and rolled
out to all.

Email Management Service (EMS) 2.0
Watch this demonstration
and contact us if you'd like to test drive EMS and discuss how best to implement with your users. Once your repository
has been enabled to use EMS, you can go to My Account>Application Settings>Install EMS Add-in. Once R5 is released,
the older version of EMS will no longer be downloadable. EMS 1.0 will need to be uninstalled before you install EMS
2.0. NetDocuments will continue to support existing users of EMS 1.0 for nine months until June 30th, 2009.

Archival Cabinets - Write Once - Read Many (WORM) -
NetDocuments now provides virtual WORM cabinets where electronic files can be written once, read many times, but never
altered or deleted. Digital records stored in WORM cabinets are tamper proof. Not even the customer's administrators
can remove or modify such files without the NetDocuments records retention policies being enforced and history logged as
to actions taken. The initial purpose of these Archive Cabinets are for Financial Service Broker-Dealers who need to comply
to the Security and Exchange Commission (SEC) and FINRA regulations, specifically, SEC Rules 17a-3 and 17a-4.

Where's "My Cabinet?"
Don't panic it's still there ... just hidden by default. With R5, if you still wish to display My Cabinet on the navigation
pane, simply go to My Account>Account Information. Select the checkbox to display.
